  • Lata Mangeshkar Dance and Music Scholarship- India / International

The High Commission of India in Pretoria offers scholarships to students from South Africa and Lesotho for studying Indian culture, including dance, music, theatre, sculpture, languages, and cuisine, at Indian universities for the 2024-25 academic year. Interested students can apply online through ICCR's A2A scholarship portal by 30 April 2024. The scholarship covers tuition, a monthly stipend, and return economy class airfares; however, applicants must have personal medical insurance and meet specific age and English proficiency requirements.


  • Arts Projects - Bengaluru, India

India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) invites proposals for Project 560, an initiative encouraging arts projects (research/practice) that engage with Bengaluru's culture, history, and artistic landscape. Open to arts practitioners and scholars based in Bengaluru, the program aims to support a variety of artistic expressions, from performances and exhibitions to interdisciplinary works. The maximum grant is Rs 4 lakh, and proposals are due by May 03, 2024. For more information or to submit a proposal, contact john@indiaifa.org.


  • Inner Spaces Retreat - Kerala, India

A retreat set among the serene hilltops of Munnar, designed to explore the art of movement and express yourself through dance. This retreat is facilitated by Aastha Gulati and Gopal, offering a unique experience to connect with your body and nature. The dates are September 26-29, 2024 in Munnar, Kerala.


  • Dance Bridges Festival - Kolkata, India

Dance Bridges Festival is an international biennial showcasing contemporary dance with a focus on innovation, diversity, and community. Since its founding in 2014, the festival has presented performances, residencies, workshops, and more, engaging over 25,000 audience members across four editions. The 5th edition takes place in Kolkata from August 1-5, 2024, with artist announcements coming soon.


  • IIDC 2024 - India

The India International Dance Congress (IIDC) is an annual Latin dance event, renowned for its vibrant energy and focus on salsa, bachata, and merengue. This premier gathering attracts dancers and enthusiasts from around the world, providing a dynamic platform for learning, networking, and celebrating Latin dance culture. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned dancer, IIDC offers an inspiring and unforgettable experience.


  • Latin Festival Madras - Chennai, India

LFM is a premium boutique dance festival featuring 5-star venues, international artists, workshops, bootcamps, and social dancing with top DJs from Asia. The event includes a variety of parties, from dancing by the sea to pool parties, and luxurious accommodations with all-inclusive meals. Across 10 days, enjoy 3 days of the main festival, 4 days of pre-parties, 2 days of getaway parties, and a farewell party, with a star-studded lineup of renowned dancers from around the world.


  • Mudra Dance Festival - Mumbai, India

The NCPA Mudra Dance Festival 2024 is an annual event held around International Dance Day, showcasing Indian classical dance with a thematic focus. This year's festival explores 'Aharya,' emphasizing the unique use of jewelry, textiles, and make-up in Indian classical dance. Enjoy a vibrant mix of performances, workshops, and exhibitions depicting stories from Indian mythology and folklore, all centered around the artistic expression of 'Aharya.'


  • Bengaluru Marghazi - Bengaluru, India

The BENGALURU MARGAZHI Festival is returning, inviting applications for solo performances, groups, productions, and dance dramas. To apply, send an email to medaibengaluru@gmail.com. Join this vibrant festival to celebrate dance and the performing arts in Bengaluru.


  • International Cultural Dance Festival - India

Shrustii Multicultural Centre organizes the International Cultural Dance Festival (ICDF) to promote Indian folk, classical, and theatre ensembles globally. This festival celebrates diverse dance styles, open to participants aged 7 to 75+, with group sizes ranging from solo acts to ensembles with 40+ members. Participants cover their own international flight expenses, and the participation fee depends on the selected accommodation package, including three meals per day.


  • Apulia International Dance Festival - Italy

The Apulia International Dance Festival in Taranto, Italy, from August 19-31, 2024, offers an immersive experience for performing artists through intensive teaching labs, open stage nights, and a month-long art residency. With historic venues, seaside charm, and a focus on contemporary arts, the festival provides a unique platform for artists to explore, collaborate, and perform.
